This is a picture from the beach at Oxnard near my place of employment. You can see the oil rig in the shot, along with my favorite shit-covered island (earlier post).  

As I mentioned, my former co-worker and I liked to decorate our fake tree in our office. This decoration is from the day I decided I was going to be afflicted with pink eye, so I drew up an eyeball, cut it out, and taped it over one of my closed eyes. Notice the yellow highlighter acting as puss. The best part about my eye is that when I blinked my real eye, the fake eye's eyelashes wiggled. Unfortunately, no one really believed I had pink eye so I didn't get to home.  

This is the view I see on clear mornings from my sidewalk. Yes, life is not too bad when you see this every day. The island is called Anacapa. It's actually filled with sea gulls, pelicans and bird shit. But it looks pretty from here, don't it?
